Hitler's horses

The incredible – and true – story of one of the most extraordinary heists of the 20th century. When detective Arthur Brand is called to a meeting with his former mentor and elusive art world negotiator, he receives a lead that could solve one of the mysteries of World War II: what really happened to Hitler's favourite statues, Josef Thorak's Schreitende Pferde ("galloping horses"), which everyone thought had disappeared during the bombing of Berlin. Against all odds, the lead proves true, and Brand embarks on a quest for the statues. This leads him to delve into a terrifying world, where Nazi ideology is still very much alive and funded by the sale of Third Reich memorabilia. The stakes get higher and higher as Brand and his team, with the valuable assistance of a German police commissioner, set a trap to catch the criminals trying to sell the statues on the black market. But who are these criminals? And can Brand unmask them before his true identity is discovered?
