Half-hidden in the forest and surrounded by menacing mountain peaks, Le Sommet has always been a sinister place. Long the subject of unsettling rumours, the abandoned former sanatorium is undergoing an intense renovation and being transformed into a luxury hotel with unique features, grim reminders of its history... A sumptuous and isolated hotel in the Alps is the last place Detective Elin Warner, still recovering from an intense police investigation, wants to be. But when she receives an unexpected invitation to celebrate the engagement of Isaac, her estranged brother, Elin doesn't even have the excuse of work not to accept. The time has finally come to settle accounts with the past and face painful memories. Her arrival at Le Sommet coincides with the beginning of a menacing storm, and Elin feels tense – there's something about the hotel that sets her nerves on edge. When she wakes up the next morning to discover that Laure, Isaac's fiancée, has disappeared without a trace, her unease grows even further.
