The red notebook

In accounts spanning a few pages, sometimes even just a few paragraphs, we can read here, taken from that notebook, thirteen extremely brief stories where the Author reveals himself to be a passionate (and somewhat restless) collector of the good and bad moments that reality has reserved for him. Paul Auster likes to define this collection as his "poetics without theory." And, in fact, we can hear in it, with perfect clarity, the famous "music of chance."
