Three years after the last performance of Macbeth – marked by harsh criticism and the protagonist's nervous breakdown in front of the audience – the cast reunites to bring Shakespeare's play to the stage of Stockholm's most important theatre. But as rehearsals are about to begin, Bianca Salo – cast as Lady Macbeth – finds her home invaded and a dress mysteriously burning in her dressing room. Frightened, she hires private investigator Julia Stark and shares her conviction that Nicolás, her ex-fiancé, is behind these incidents. There's only one problem: he's been dead for three years. A firm believer in the truth, Julia promises to help Bianca and discover who is trying to harm her. This is how the investigator finds herself in the labyrinthine corridors of the Stockholm National Theatre, attending rehearsals and interviewing the entire cast in search of the pieces needed to complete this puzzle. However, when everyone is such a good actor, reaching the truth is a path full of obstacles. With the help of her ex-husband, Sidney Mendelson, Julia will not rest until she unravels all the mysteries surrounding Bianca Salo. However, in this case, finding the culprit comes at a price, and Julia might have to pay it with her own life…
