In the spring of 1984, high school students Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole fall deeply in love. But Amanda and Dawson come from opposite worlds: the Colliers are a prestigious family while the Coles are criminals and violent. Nevertheless, their love seems to withstand everything… until a tragic event separates them, sending them down radically divergent paths.
Twenty-five years later, they are called back to the small town where they grew up for the funeral of Tuck, the man who allowed them to live their love hidden from the world. Amanda and Dawson now lead lives very different from those they dreamed of, and their reunion is not easy, but the love that binds them remains as strong as it was in the past.
