Tropical Baroque

A woman falls from the sky during a tropical storm. The only witnesses to the event are Bartolomeu Falcato, a writer and filmmaker, and his lover, Kianda, a singer with a very successful international career. Bartolomeu strives to unravel the mystery while everything around him seems to crumble. He soon realizes he will be the next victim. An arms dealer seeking total power, an ambitious healer, a former Red Brigades terrorist, a blind ex-sapper who hides his disfigurement behind a Mickey Mouse mask, a young autistic painter, a black angel (or his shadow), and dozens of other characters cross paths with Bartolomeu, between one twilight and the next, on the streets of a city in upheaval: Luanda, 2020.
