Icy silence

In 1955, two young couples move to the uninhabited and isolated fjord of Hedinsfjördur, in Iceland. Their stay ends when one of the women dies mysteriously. The case is never solved. Fifty years later, an old photograph emerges showing that, after all, the two couples were not alone in the fjord.
In Siglufjördur, a small nearby town, young police officer Ari Thór tries to understand what really happened on that fateful night, after being approached by a relative of the victim. At a time when the city is under quarantine due to a deadly virus, Ari relies only on the help of Ísrún, a journalist from Reykjavik, to unravel the case. However, Ísrún is also investigating another sinister case, involving the kidnapping of a baby and the fatal hit-and-run of a former politician's son.

Will they be able to solve two cases that only find an explanation in a past shrouded in silence?
