The Brooklyn Follies

Against the backdrop of the controversial American elections of 2000, Brooklyn Follies tells the story of Nathan and his nephew Tom. Divorced and estranged from his only daughter, Nathan seeks only solitude and anonymity. For his part, the tormented Tom is running away from his once-promising academic career and from life in general. Accidentally, they both end up living in the same Brooklyn suburb, and together they unexpectedly discover a community that pulsates with life and offers a sudden and unpredictable possibility of redemption.
